This strotra is dedicated at the lotus feet of Goddess Durga. The word “Durga” in Sanskrit means a fort, or a place which is difficult to overrun. Another meaning of “Durga” is “Durgatinashini,” which literally translates into “the one who eliminates sufferings.” Shri Durgapaduddhar Stotram is in Sanskrit. It is from Siddheshwari tantra and creation of UmaMaheshwar Samvada. Maheshwar (God Shankar) is telling this stotra to Uma (Goddess Parvati). However it is told for the benefit of all the people suffering from many difficulties, troubles, fear from enemies and adversaries in the life. The devotee whoso ever recites this stotra in the evening 3 times a day or one time in a day or even one stanza of this stotra with devotion, concentration and faith will become free from all troubles, difficulties and receive peace, happiness and everything desired is assured by God Maheshwar.

नमस्ते शरण्ये शिवे सानुकम्पे नमस्ते जगद्व्यापिके विश्वरूपे ।
नमस्ते जगद्वन्द्यपादारविन्दे नमस्ते जगत्तारिणि त्राहि दुर्गे ॥ १॥
नमस्ते जगच्चिन्त्यमानस्वरूपे नमस्ते महायोगिविज्ञानरूपे ।
नमस्ते नमस्ते सदानन्द रूपे नमस्ते जगत्तारिणि त्राहि दुर्गे ॥ २॥
अनाथस्य दीनस्य तृष्णातुरस्य भयार्तस्य भीतस्य बद्धस्य जन्तोः ।

अरण्ये रणे दारुणे शुत्रुमध्ये जले सङ्कटे राजग्रेहे प्रवाते ।

अपारे महदुस्तरेऽत्यन्तघोरे विपत् सागरे मज्जतां देहभाजाम् ।

त्वमेका सदाराधिता सत्यवादिन्यनेकाखिला क्रोधना क्रोधनिष्ठा ।

नमो देवि दुर्गे शिवे भीमनादे सदासर्वसिद्धिप्रदातृस्वरूपे ।

शरणमसि सुराणां सिद्धविद्याधराणां मुनिदनुजवराणां व्याधिभिः पीडितानाम् ।

I bow to that Durgā, Who is the refuge, Who is complete bliss, and Who is with mercy; I bow to that Durgā, Who pervades the universe and Who manifests as the universe; I bow to that Durgā Whose lotus-feet are revered by the whole world; I bow to that Durgā, Who absolves the world.
O Durgā! Protect me.||1||
I bow to that Durgā, Whose form is worthy of meditation by the world; I bow to that Durgā, Who is the great Yoginī, and Who is knowledge personified; I bow to that Durgā, Who is eternal-bliss; I bow to that Durgā Who absolves the world.

O Goddess!
Only You are the refuge and only You cause the rescue of the destitute, the poor, the deprived, the fear-troubled ones, the scared, and the tied living-beings. I bow to that Durgā Who absolves the world.

Only You are the refuge and only You are the boat to rescue in the forest, in the fierce battleground, in the middle of enemies, in the fire, in the ocean, in the external territories, and in the royal residence. I bow to that Durgā Who absolves the world.

Only You are the refuge and only You are the support for rescue of those, Whose body is sinking inside this infinite, very difficult, and very deep ocean of misery. I bow to that Durgā Who absolves the world.

I bow to that Durgā, Who is Canḍikā, Whose furious and punitive sportive play destroy the not-destroyed and left-over enemies from all sides. O Goddess! Only you are the refuge and only You sow the seeds of rescue. I bow to that Durgā Who absolves the world.

You are Iḍā, Pińgalā, Suṣumnā, and Nāḍī. I bow to that Durgā Who absolves the world.

I bow to Goddess Durgā, Who is complete bliss, Who has an unshakeable feet, Who is Sarasvatī and Arundhatī, and Whose form cannot be hurt. You are the manifestation of might, You are the rendering of mighty help, and You are Kālarātri and Satī. I bow to that Durgā Who absolves the world.
